MEET CHERYL

Cheryl has been teaching college-level mathematics since 1981. In 1998, however, she discovered that acting was much more fun than teaching the quadratic formula. In that year she made her first stage appearance as a royal wife in
The King and I. She continued refining her craft by taking theatre classes and appearing in several more productions with Theatre Tuscaloosa in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Credits include
Smoke on the Mountain,
Annie,
The Crucible, and
Stepping Out. Film work in Alabama includes the portrayal of a senile, geriatric patient at a mental hospital for a nursing training video and the role of Mrs. Vargus in
Hair a la Mode (a short film produced by a telecommunications class taught by Mr. Tom Cherones at the University of Alabama).
Cheryl has appeared on stage as an Irish maid (
The Philadelphia Story), a mother duck (
Honk!), a mother superior (
Agnes of God) and a wicked witch (
Wizard of Oz). She finds roles that use other dialects to be especially fun. Her film credits include
Hell-ephone,
The Runaway and
The Price of Power. Cheryl enjoys singing, dancing, playing the piano and composing.
