POPULAR TYPES OF SCRIPTS
Web Page or Description of Organization
If the video will be appearing on your front page, your script should reflect that. You will want to introduce your business/organization and welcome new visitors to the site while surprising current ones with your new and exciting marketing tool.
It can take a while for a visitor to fully read and navigate your website. This video is an excellent opportunity to guide them to the features and links that you want them to notice. It is also a great chance to focus on any events, specials, or new products that you are highlighting. This doesn't have to be a long tour of your website... Remember, you don't want to bore them! Just hit a few key points, communicate any information they might need to get the most out of their visit, and sign-off. (view sample)
Selling A Product or Service
Perhaps your website is very straightforward, so you would rather focus on the products or services that you are marketing. After your introduction, you will want to tell the visitor a little about what you do, sell, or provide. Keep it simple and to the point using 2-3 sentences.
Next, answer the question of why they need to know about your organization. What can you help them with or provide to them? What problems can you help them solve?
Tell them how you can do this and how you have been doing it. Keep it simple! Try not to complicate your message with a lot of details or statistics. Remember, this is just an introduction. Leave them wanting to learn more and tell them where they can find it on your website. Provide incentives and entice your audience. It is this audience that will become your clients! (view sample)
